Be sure to check the front carpets for dampness or a mildew smell this could indicate that a sunroof drain was/is clogged. Take a good look at the inside wear on the tires, this could indicate seized toe bolts or problems with the tie rods. Also don't really plan on modding aside from audio.Ĭheck the locks and that the windows go up and down without making any noise or struggling. What else actually goes wrong with these things? I'll be looking for a 6-spd manual car. This will be primarily a weekend car anyway and won't see many miles. Is it too good to be true? If the galley gasket is the only major thing I have to worry about fuck, I'll take it. I'm not seeing any other common issues with these cars. ![]() ![]() I watched the youtube videos, and while labor intensive, I've dealt with worse (was a mechanic for over 10 years). The only reliability issue that I can find is the galley gasket, which doesn't really scare me. The prices seem great too at many clean ones going for under $10k. I had no idea that all of these G37's I've seen on the road are over 10 years old. Powerful, well equipped, and they somehow still look fresh. I've done a bit of research and they seem almost like the perfect car. I decided to look into G37 since I see them everywhere and figured there must be something good about them. So I'm looking to pick up a luxurious performance car for weekend use and while my go-to choice is normally a BMW 3-series the E90 and newer just look like a royal pain in the ass.
